Life Is What You Make It

“To affect the quality of the day, that is the highest of the arts.”

-Henry David Thoreau

I’ve explained in several of my YouTube videos that choosing not to take action is only a bet on what is already at play. If you choose to make a change then you are betting on the change, but don’t think for a second that inaction is not a gamble. I recently read the book You Don’t Need A Title To Be A Leader by Mark Sanborn. In one section of his book it states, “Life is what you make of it. The more you put into it, the more it reflects back on you.” Inaction is merely refusing to add to a certain aspect of life, it’s hoping things will not erode despite the fact that you are not reinforcing or improving circumstances. The more you put in, the more you get back, that is the reality with every positive situation, whether it’s a relationship, a business, a nature hike or any other interaction.

The key then, is to find out what you can add or contribute. To improve yourself so that you can put more into every circumstance. Improve your mind, body and spirit. Improve your critical thinking, your physical capabilities, your communication skills, your focus and millions of other attributes. There is no ceiling on how much you can grow and how much you can contribute. Therefore there is no ceiling on how much life can give back to you. Put passion focus and effort into everything you do and life will give back exponentially.
